I threw away passion in art, now pick it up again

Hello! I just got back to DA after years. Things has changed a lot here, and I got a little emotional.


I threw away my passion in art.

I think the last time I did a serious drawing was in 2013. It was commission for Mama--Owl (that time I still owed them one more commission, but I couldn't finish it, so I refunded the points in August 2013. I'm really sorry >.<). After that drawings, things got busier, I thought I was going to stop drawing for a while and later I would be back on drawing, but somehow, the mood for drawing slowly disappeared. Then, I decided to just focus on my career as accountant, I decided to threw away my passion in art.

So after years, sometimes I got the feeling of wanting to draw something, but I always oppressed that feeling and told myself "you got no time for that" or "ah, I don't draw anymore, I think I have forgotten how to draw".



I'm picking it up again

Recently I really like "Homura" song by LiSA, the theme song for Demon Slayer Movie. And yeah, again I got that feeling of wanting to draw. I wanted to draw Kyoujurou Rengoku, the character who's related to that song. But this time I let myself draw.

When I drew it, at first I thought like "Wow, my hand still remembers how to draw", then I remembered the feeling, I don't know how to explain it but, there's something that makes me happy when drawing. Why did I throw it away?


Log in again


So I decided to check again my Deviant Art account, ah! things has changed a lot. I looked again at my old drawings and read the comments. oh! how much I missed it!. I got a little bit emotional.

However, what makes me really sad is I lost my friends on DA. I had some close friends, and now many of them are not active anymore, even some of them has deleted their account. I really regretted my decision on leaving DA.

Anyone here still remember me?



Start from zero

I think I should start again everything from zero. I will now focus on practicing to improve my drawings, maybe one sketch a day. I'm also interested in digital drawing. well I cannot start now because my current computer is very slow, very lagging, I cannot draw with it. I'm planning to buy a better one in two or three months. Then I'll have experiment with digital drawing.


My art journey starts again :D

I Changed My Username

Hello guys! Lee-devilization is now Lisa-Art :happybounce:

I like this new name, it's simple, short, easy-to-be-remembered and really "me".. haha..  I want to change my avatar too, but not so soon. Some people might not recognize me if I changed both username and avatar at the same time. :D

My old username, and my life  story


When I made my account on DA, I was writing a story (not literally write it, I just imagined it) about Blue Devil and friends. the title is "Devilization". All I wanted was designing the characters and upload them to here. I planned to go to art school with a goal that one day I would see my story on the movie. but alas that will never happen. Look at me now, I go to college Monday to Saturday, study accounting, and I'll be an accountant when I graduate.

To be honest, I'm coward.


I live in Indonesia, where most artists got paid very very low. People just don't appreciate art much. Companies only care about "Low-Cost" (I know that because I study Economics). I know there are rich artists and designer  in Indonesia, but very rare. and they must be very very talented and yeah, they know how to sell.

Indonesia is a developing country, especially in economical section. Accountants, Auditors and stuff are needed. There are so many job opportunities and the salaries are high.. People say being an artist is a risky job, and yeah, I'm a coward. So I study accounting.

However, I found that I'm also talented in accounting, in my first year, I got B in Business Law class, and A for other 19 classes. I hope I can passed this second year with great result again.

Deviant Art is my art school

I basically love art so much! I love to draw, taking photos, and the most important thing : learning from great artists in DA. Thanks to all inspiring artists, thanks for tutorials, comments, critiques. I've never had any formal education in arts but my art has improved a lot because of Deviant Art.

Also, thanks to all my watchers! thanks for faving and commenting, Your support always motivates me.
So Deviant Art is My art school, and you guys are my classmates, my seniors, my mentors, my teachers, my everything. Thank you!

really really missed you and everything about DA!

I want to thank you all for keep being my watchers, you guys are really nice to me. Big hug for you!
I was off because college took all my time, I even had to spend my weekend working on homework and projects. Second semester was really tough! I got one B and 9 As. pretty cool, huh?

But exam is over, it's Holidaaaayyy!!

So, I went to Lombok and Bali for the first time in Life. have you been there? if you haven't, then you have to go! Lombok and Bali are so beautiful. The beach, the villages (especially in Lombok, because Bali is now more like a city), the mountain, the people (they are so friendly!), the food, Everything!

I took many photos, I will send it as gifts for my friends and watchers for keep watching me. (wew! I still have so many watchers!)
